This month we chat with Marci Kloss, the Community Representative for 24 North. Marci has been with Shea Homes for 12 years, and she thrives on the feeling of helping buyers find exactly what they’re after, even if they don’t themselves know what that is yet.
Q: What makes the experience of buying, building, and living in a Shea Home special?
A: Our purpose is to enhance people’s lives. Our goal is to make the entire buying experience amazing and memorable, from start to finish. We work as a team to provide the buyer with the best experience they can possibly have. From the moment they walk into the sales office, to the construction welcome meeting with the Field Manager, to customizing their home at the Shea design studio, to receiving the keys to their new home and the follow up from customer care for a year after they close. Our commitment to customer satisfaction is our priority, which translates to happy buyers & happy home owners! We are there every step of the way with a synergistic team that makes the buyers #1.
Q: What are the unique selling propositions of your community? What sets your community apart?
A: 24 North is an intimate community with 111 homesites. The size of the community gives homeowners the opportunity to get to know their neighbors, not just feel like they are living amongst strangers. The unique courtyard villas include cozy backyards with very low maintenance. Plus, these are highly energy efficient homes. The buyers are in love with the 3 incredible exterior design selections that no other builders offer. The kitchens, great rooms and overall use of functional space is extremely desirable to our buyers and prospective buyers.
Q: Tell us about a time you helped a family find their dream home, and what it meant to you.
A: Many years ago, my brother and his family were visiting from California and requested my help to find them a home. I had fallen in love with Shea Homes over 20 years ago when my husband and I first started looking for a new home for ourselves. Every time my husband and I looked at other builders, I would always say the same thing: “This home doesn’t compare to the Shea Homes that we have seen”. My husband said, “If you like Shea Homes so much, why you don’t go work for them?”
I took my brother and his family to tour homes in the master planned community of Vistancia. After touring several other builders, my brother and his family purchased a Shea home there. They were overjoyed to find their dream home and I was extremely honored to be a part of the reason they found it. Although I didn’t sell the home to my brother, I like to think that the passion I had and have for Shea Homes is why they ultimately purchased their Shea home. It’s also why I ended up getting my license and coming to work for Shea Homes!
Q: What community amenity at 24 North do your homeowners love the most?
A: The amenity that homeowners love the most is yet to come. We are in the process of adding a community pool, which is projected to be complete this summer! Our homeowners are thrilled that there will be a place to mingle with other homeowners and a place to cool off during the hot days. Homeowners can even “warm up” on the cool nights, as there will also be a hot tub!
Q: What does living the Shea difference mean to you?
A: To me, living the Shea difference means being the best Shea Homes representative that I can be - every day, for every buyer, every prospective buyer, every team member. To make everyone's experience memorable and enjoyable.
